Today, it boasts one of China’s most famous classical gardens, and has been inscribed into the list of national key cultural sites. Mr. Huang specially planted a large number of bamboos in the garden as he liked such a plant very much. And the name is also associated with the bamboo. Huang took half of Chinese character, 竹(bamboo), as its name, also last character of Huang’s name Yun (筠, the green surface of bamboo ) is also defined as a word connected with bamboo. The garden is famous for its layers of rocks that were shaped in a powerful style, especially the Four Season Hills. Therefore, this is your first destination to visit.
And then, we move to the Grand Canal Yangzhou. The ancient Grand Canal in Yangzhou is the oldest part of Grand Canal. The origin of the section is Han Gou(邗沟), which was dug more than 2500 years ago, when China was in the period of spring and autumn (221BC – 481BC), for Wu State King Fuchai’s northwardly contending for hegemony. The whole length is 125 kilometers from Guazhou to Baoying. It in downtown Yangzhou is approximately 30 kilometers from Guazhou to Qantou. The highlights of it are three bays with a multitude of ancient sites. And our guide will show you one by one, and you will get an opportunity to take a boat cruise tour on the Grand Canal.
