Day 1 – Arrive in Beijing (no meal)

Upon your arrival into Beijing, you will be met by our friendly guide who will transfer you to your hotel for a good rest.



Day2 – Beijing (B/L/D)

Visit: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven

Today you will spend a delightful day to visit most of the famous sights of Beijing. You will first visit Tiananmen Square, the heart of Beijing and it is the largest square in the world. After that, you will visit the Forbidden City, home to two dynasties of Emperors spanning 500 years. This afternoon, you will be transferred to visit the architectural wonders of the Temple of Heaven. Tonight enjoy a traditional Peking duck dinner in the famous traditional Beijing restaurant–Quanjude.

Tiananmen Square - Tiananmen Square is one of the largest city center squares in the world with Beijing National Museum, People’s Great Hall and other major architectures around. It is truly the heart of Beijing. Thousands of people come to the Square every day. It is the must place to visit in Beijing City. People all over China dream of having the chance to one day visit the capital city and its famous square.

Forbidden City - Forbidden City boasting the world’s largest imperial palace complex used to be the living residence and center for administrating the national affairs of Emperors in Ming and Qing Dynasties. Since the commencement of construction, Forbidden City was eye-catching all the time. Traditionally Forbidden city was the exclusively zone that only the emperors and their empresses, concubines, family members as well as some favored high officials could enter. In public mind, Forbidden City is the center of China even the world. It is riddled with mystery and legend aside from the solemnity and authority.

Temple of Heaven - The Temple of Heaven is located in southeast Beijing, and it was where emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties worshipped the heaven and prayed for good harvests each year. It is the largest architectural complex for rituals to pay homage to heaven. 22 Ming and Qing Dynasty emperors held more than 600 ceremonies to worship the heaven here. The last event of heaven worship took place here in 1915. In 1998, the Temple of Heaven was added to the World Heritage List by UNESCO.



Day3 – Beijing (B/L)

Visit: Badaling Great Wall, Legends of Kung Fu performance

Today, pay a visit to the Great Wall of Badaling Great Wall. Badaling Great Wall is located in the northern Part of Beijing which is about 70km from Beijing city Center. This is undoubtedly one of the greatest man-made wonders of the world. This afternoon after your lunch, be transferred back to Beijing city to visit the Silk Market where you can negotiate and seek out of the many bargains. After that, move to Red Theater to enjoy Legends of Kung Fu Performance.

Badaling Great Wall - Badaling Great Wall is one of the nine forts on earth, and also the quintessential section of the Great Wall. It is the representative of the Great Wall established in the Ming Dynasty. Badaling Great Wall is the earliest section opened to tourists. Badaling Scenic Area is mainly characterized by the Badaling Great Wall with multi-functional modernized facilities for tourism service such as Badaling Hotel, Quanzhou Cinema and China Great Wall Museum inscribed directly by Jiang Zemin, the former president of China. Badaling Great Wall is the best preserved section of the Great Wall with the all-sided service facilities.

Legends of Kung Fu Performance - The Legend of Kung Fu follows the story of a young boy found wandering outside an ancient temple. Like every boy in China, he dreams of becoming a Kung Fu master. On the road to enlightenment the young monk encounters many difficulties and temptations. The show has English subtitles shown above the stage to keep you informed of the story line. The actors do not speak; the show is all Kung Fu, dance and acrobatics. It is the fusion of modern dance with Chinese traditional arts which make this performance unique and spectacular. The best Kung Fu practitioners from all over China have been found for this production and it shows on the stage. Their average age is just 17 years old. Additionally, the costumes, set design and special effects are up to international standards, created by some of the best stage directors and designers in China.



Day 4 – Beijing (B/L)

Visit: Lama Temple, Beijing Old Hutong

This morning after breakfast, you will visit the most renowned Tibetan Buddhist Temple outside of Tibet – The Lama Temple, It is the largest Tibetan monastery in Beijing. After that, you will visit the traditional Beijing Old Hutong by rickshaw where you can get a fascinating insight into the lives of the traditional Beijing citizens. This afternoon, free at your own to explore Beijing city.

Lama Temple - Lama Temple ( Yonghegong or Palace of Peace or Yonghegong Lamasery ), located in central Beijing, is the largest lamasery in the northeast part of Beijing city. Lama Temple features five large halls and five courtyards with beautifully decorative archways, upturned eaves and carved details. It houses a treasury of Buddhist art, including sculptured images of gods, demons and Buddha, as well as Tibetan-style murals.

Beijing Old Hutong - Hutong, lanes or alleys, is formed by lines of Siheyuan (a compound with houses around a courtyard) standing side by side along a straight passage. The Hutongs have witnessed the vicissitude of Beijing. Choose your preferred way to explore the Hutong alleys - by rickshaw, by bike or on foot, to see the authentic real life happening in the alleys.



Day 5 – Beijing–Shanghai by flight (B/L)

Visit: Shanghai Museum, Acrobatic Show

This morning after breakfast at your hotel you will be transferred to Beijing Capital airport for your onward flight to Shanghai. On your arrival in Shanghai, you will be met by our guide and transferred to your hotel. After a short rest in the hotel, be transferred to visit Shanghai Museum. Tonight, enjoy a Chinese traditional acrobatic show.

Shanghai Museum - Shanghai museum is a large and comprehensive museum exhibiting Chinese ancient arts and culture, as famous as Beijing Imperial Palace, Shenyang Imperial Palace, Shaanxi History Museum and Nanjing Museum. Shanghai Museum is also the youngest but has the fastest development, thanks to the strongest financial support from Shanghai Municipal Government. A great many collections are directly bought overseas or from other museums in the world.

Acrobatic Show - The Acrobatics at Shanghai are not to be missed. They are held each night and last for about 2 hours. The Shanghai Acrobatic Troupe, established in 1951 is one of the best in China. It frequently tours internationally and performs routinely at Shanghai and other cities in China. An acrobatic show has become one of the most popular evening entertainments for tourists in Shanghai. You can enjoy gravity-defying contortionism, juggling, unicycling, chair-stacking, and plate-spinning acts at the following stages.



Day 6 – Shanghai (B/L)

Visit: Yu Garden, Shanghai Old Street, Jin Mao Tower, Bund Huangpu River Cruise

This morning, you will visit Yu Garden which is the largest traditional garden in Shanghai, then troll along the Shanghai Old Street with its twisting alleyways and many shops and hawkers. This afternoon after lunch, pay a visit the Jin Mao Two, one of the highest buildings in Shanghai Pudong area, where from the Observation deck you will enjoy a panoramic view of Shanghai city. After that, stroll along the Bund and then take a short cruise on Huangpu River.

Yu Garden - Yuyuan Garden is one of the quintessential representatives of Jiangnan Garden. Originally, Yuyuan garden was built in 1559 by Pan Yunduan(潘允端), a local governor of Sichuan province in Ming Dynasty, to serve his father who was Pan En (潘恩), a famous minister during the reign of Emperor Jiajing in Ming Dynasty. Yu(豫) in Chinese language is an auspicious character, and means comfort, satisfaction and pleasure, and it also the abbreviation of Henan province. To be the name of the garden was to show the filial love of making parents and the elder happy and pleasant.

Shanghai Old Street - historically called Miaoqian Dajie and closely nearby to Yuyuan Garden and Market, is an old business street that has a combination of tourist attractions, shops, entertainment and cultural exhibits. It owes its special social attractions and rich commercial background to the fact that the earliest bank, gold shop, jeweler's store, wine shop and tea house of Shanghai were all to be found here. The architectural style and layout keep the characteristics of residences from late Ming Dynasty to the early Republic, even connected to the western culture. All businesses in shanghai old street represent traditional trades and folk culture.

Jinmao Tower - Shanghai Jinmao Tower also called Jin Mao Building(金茂大厦, literally translated to be the Tower of Gold Prosperity) located in the Lujiazui Financial and Trade Zone on the riverside of Huangpu River, Pudong New Area. It is in the neighborhood of Shanghai World Finance Center and Shanghai Oriental Pearl Tower. The total height of this skyscraper is 420.5 meters, and belongs in the list of highest building landmarks in Shanghai. Currently it ranks one of top five highest buildings in China, and top ten skyscrapers in the world.

The Bund –The bund crowned to be the Old Shanghai Exotic building Clusters is the most famous tourist attraction of Shanghai, and someone considers it as the landmark of Shanghai and the witness of Shanghai history. It is an epitome of Shanghai in the past 150 years, and the show of the capitalism of old Shanghai. The Bund located at the connecting point of Huangpu River and Suzhou River is opposite to Pudong Lujiazui Financial District. It approximately is 1,800 meters from North Section of Suzhou Road to Jinling East Road, and the whole landform is like the shape of crescent. Visiting to Shanghai, the bund and its exotic building clusters are the must-see destinations.

Huangpu River Cruise – It is a traditional tourist program. Cruises are available everyday, including the shorter cruises and the complete cruises. The cruise starts from the Bund and goes upstream. Towards the south, it takes you to look at the Nanpu Bridge, and then turns round to the north to go to the Yangpu Bridge and finally reaches Wusong Mouth (Wusongkou), which is an inlet of the sea that the Huangpu River and the Yangtze River flow into. When flood tide happens, you can see the marvelous spectacle of 'Three Waters Mingle Together' – blue-grey water from the Huangpu River, blue colored water from the East China Sea and yellow colored water with silt from the Yangtze River.



Day7 – Depart Shanghai (B)

Today you farewell Shanghai and China. You are free till been transferred to Shanghai Pudong International Airport for your onward flight home, end of your tour.
